United Russia Office Burns Down In Arkhangelsk

It could have been an arson.

A fire broke out in the United Russia office in Arkhangelsk on the night of December 24. This was reported by the regional branch of the party. The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Sever.Realii reports.

The party stated that none of the residents of the building where the office is located were injured during the fire. The firefighters who arrived quickly dealt with the fire.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the office caught fire at three o'clock in the morning. As a result, the furniture was damaged, the walls, ceiling and corridor were blackened with smoke.

Arkhangelsk United Russia activist Vladislav Zhgulev wrote on his VKontakte page that the office was set on fire on purpose. According to him, a bottle with a Molotov cocktail was thrown into the premises. The activist's post was noticed by 29.ru.

According to Zhgulev, the fire destroyed part of the “humanitarian aid” that the party was preparing to send to the combat zone in Ukraine.

No official information about the thrown incendiary mixture has been reported by either the police or the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
